glass washing, cleaning, cash handling. It will require you to have good people skills as this will reflect massively on the bar creating an
image that is friendly and welcoming to the public. Another role which you may be asked to do is change the beer barrel which may take a while to
get used to doing. Many high end bars in London serve an extensive list of cocktails, and you may be required to learn the recipes to make them,
presentation and flavour is vital. Preparing fruit like lime to be included in these different cocktails may ask of you as well.
London bar staff prepares and serve drink orders that waiters and waitresses take from
customers. They should be able to prepare standard mixed drinks as well as specialised mixed drinks to suit a customer's preference. Bartenders
collect payment, operate the cash register, clean up after customers leave, and often will serve food to customers that are seated at the bar.
They also check the identification of customers who look young to meet the government’s minimum age restrictions for buying alcohol and tobacco.
Bartenders are usually responsible for re-stocking their collection of liquor, mixes, and other alcoholic and snack bar supplies.
