Retailers make sure that their products that they are selling
are sold in the correct shop, at the right time using the right amount of stock. This means they have to work closely together with the buying
departments to predict future trends, organise stock amounts and check targets are being hit. The buyer decides the products, the merchandiser
gets the final say on how much money gets spent, determining how much stock gets bought.
Retailers decides strategic price to get the best return profits possible and overlook the
success of different products using strategies like promotion techniques and price cuts when appropriate. They also overlook incoming products
and stock from the delivery and distribution from factories and other sources and manage problems and difficulties with suppliers when they
happen.
These activities will change according to the company's policies and area of merchandising
and retail field, but these actions are generally carried out. Deciding which products and preparing of sales and stock working alongside buyers,
analysts, suppliers and distributors.

Customer service reps in retail have a main priority of helping customers. To work as a
customer service rep you must have very good manners, problem solve, deal with issues that come up and have good telephone manner. In this line
of work having basic computer skills, is very important. There may be a number of different ways of communicating with customers, for example
using telephone, fax, mail, email, face to face or by other methods using the Internet.
As a customer service representative you are responsible for giving quick, helpful,
knowledgeable, confident and polite assistance to customers. These aims are executed by effective customer service, product handling, cleaning,
upholding standards, safety, security and various similar common activities which are delegated. This is usually paid at a hourly rate and
usually you report to a Facility Manager.
